In March, Sierra's progress really started to show. She also got new clothes and a new hat that fit her much better. Of course, I teased her that it was the clip on earrings that I bought for her to wear for that extra sparkle. (She had her ears pierced but had lots of problems and let the holes close up). But, seriously, she really started to shine.
Highlights of the show included: (there were 2 judges so she could get 2 different placings) both 1st of 4 in Bareback Horsemanship, 1st and 2nd of 8 in Open Western Pleasure, 3rd and 5th of 10 in Country Western Pleasure, both 1st of 9 in Western Pleasure 9-12, both 1stof 9 in Senior Western Pleasure, 1st and 2nd in Western Horsemanship, and 1st and 2nd of 5 in Western Riding. Wonderful progress!
In Hunter over Fences, she earned 2nd of 4. Huntseat Equitation Over Fences was a 1st and 2nd. Hunter Hack was 2nd. In Senior Hunter Under Saddle she earned a 1st and 2nd (and it was a bigger class, but I forgot to count how many). She ended up with both 1sts out of 6 in Huntseat Equitation.
She did great in gaming, as usual and ended up winning a High Point Trophy! Keep up the good work, Sierra!
