Oreo Madness

So, Oreos were on sale and I caved. Of course, I had to buy a variety of kinds too. Mint Oreos. Fudge Oreos, Chocolate Oreos, and the good ol' regular Oreos. Love 'em. And, the kids inherited my love for them. YummY! (Zane took the picture...hence the fuzziness....but I am thinking it does a great job softening up the wrinkles. OH, who am I kidding?! I look old, but I can live with that:). I couldn't have four "older" wonderful children if I wasn't "older" myself!

Nothing like Oreos dipped in cold milk.

Just Rubs Him The Wrong Way.....Literally!

I remember Lance and Zane going through this stage. I am not sure what sets it off, but one day, they decide that the tags have got to go! So, now, Weston can't stand the feel of a tag on him lately. He has to come and get scissors and cut off his tags. Rather funny, I think.

All better:)

Like Father, Like Daughter

Sierra inherited a wonderful trait from her father. They are both people that get things done. You don't have to ask more than once. It's so nice. When I want something done I know that I can just ask Todd and it'll be done in 24 hours or even less if possible.

Sometimes....I don't even have to ask. A couple weeks ago, my neighbor tells me that my brake light is out on my car. Of course, I think..."I'll have to tell Todd." Of course, I forget about it for a couple of weeks. Then something sparks my memory and so I tell him. He questions me on it..."You do? " I explain how the nieghbor told me a couple of weeks ago, but I forgot to tell him. Well, he says, you don't have a light out anymore. Apparently, he had followed me somewhere and noticed the problem during that time frame. So, of course, he took care of it without ever telling me. If that was me....I'd keep "meaning" to take care of it, but never get around to it. Thanks, Todd, for taking such good care of me. Now, if I could just do the same and get rid of the Photo Speeding Ticket for you:). hee hee
And, back to Sierra. She is just like her Dad. She gets up and gets ready for the day without me asking. The morning of her POA show, she was up before me and loading up the tack and feeding horses and doing all these things that needed to be done without anyone asking her too. LOVE her!!! And, it's not just for horse stuff either. Whenever I want something done, I just ask her once (usually:) and it's done. Thanks Sierra for being so wonderful....just like your dad.

A True Horsewoman

So, I am working in the house and I glance out back to see Sierra riding around on Storm shoeless, on her backback pad, ponying Pepper along. I had to run out and get some pics. It was just so cute....so typical of her and what she likes to do in her free time.
And there she goes, down the street, walking the horses, like anybody else would be walking their dogs. Check out those barefeet!

Time for Another Show

Sierra had a Regional POA Show the Saturday before Easter. The western part was on Friday and the english and gymkhana were on Saturday. Usually it is all on one day. So, I thought we'd come home early. WRONG. We left our house by 7am and got home by 6:30pm. And, we actually left early and missed the last couple of games because we were tired and cold. (The weather was windy and rainy that day). Even though it was a long day again, we had a great time. Zane and Wes ran around and played. Sierra did a lot of jumping and Pepper did great. They even raised the bars once for him and he jumped higher than he has before. They earned a second for Hunter Over Fences and one First Place for Hunt Seat Eq. Over Fences and another First Place for Open Jumping. Way to go Sierra and Pepper!

The Gymkhana games were a blast. But, there were a couple of bigger, faster POA's that kept putting in her 3rd place. But, that 's okay. 3rd is still great, right?! She earned a 3rd in the Texas Rollback, 3rd in the Cloverleaf Barrel, and a 3rd in the Single Pole. But, somehow the other two disqualified in the straight barrels and so Sierra toped the remaining girls and ended up with a First Place! Way to go Sierra and Pepper! Pepper has to work extra hard too...he's the smallest one out there!

Well, Sierra was truly in her element and it was fun to watch her. Congratulations!

Fun at the Park

Spur of the moment....we packed up a quick picnic dinner and went to the park to feed the ducks. Unfortunately by the time we got there, it was getting late and the birds were not hungry and going to sleep. But, we still had fun!

6th Photo in the 6th Folder

Here's a random photo tag from my cousin, Terri. I had to dig in my Old Photos to get a usable 6th folder. My current album's 6th folder was professional photos I took of another person that I obviously didn't care to post:). So, here's Sierra at her 5th grade Strings Concert.
